March 20th, 2020 Big Brother Big Sister’s Annual Big Dreams Dinner
The Event Center, 5:30pm

Big Brother Big Sister of New Hampshire names a female and male Big of the Year at this March event. It’s an opportunity for all involved to celebrate the important work that BBBSNH and their dedicated team of Bigs do. Newcomers who want to learn more about the organization and support have an opportunity to connect with staff, board members and Bigs.

To add sparkle to this event and bring in the energy of young people, NHDC worked with Anthony Bounphakhom, a hip hop who set a dance on his advanced students. The young dancers will emerge from the back of the room in a surprise entrance and make a strong case through dance about how much young people need and want mentors.

April 23rd, 2020, Lorraine Chapman The Company presents Voices
The Stockbridge Theater, Pinkerton Academy, 7:00pm

New Hampshire Dance Collaborative recommended a grant for this premiere by Boston based choreographer Lorraine Chapman, Chapman’s work is a highly collaborative process between her and her carefully selected dancers. Not only do Chapman’s dancers craft much of their own movement under careful direction but they also speak and sing. NHDC is committed to work that’s as much about improvisation, collaboration and problem solving and Chapman epitomizes that type of Artistic Director where process is as important as product.

May 13th, 2020 New Hampshire Business Committee for The Arts Annual Gala
The Doubletree Hotel, Manchester

The NHBCA’s annual gala will feature a paring of chefs with two or three dimensional artists to make work inspired by each other. Frequently a feature of New Hampshire Dance Collaborative contributions, attendees will be met with an unexpected guest. A classically trained clown named Clyde will emerge, charm the crowd and set up his station prepared to use dancers as his ingredients in a touching and heartwarming performance.
